Professional Life And IPL Career
Yash began his professional career with Vidarbha. He made his List A debut in February 2017, with his first appearance in first-class cricket in November 2018 and his debut in T20s in February 2019. He achieved his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket in December 2021. His big break came in 2023 when the Lucknow Super Giants bought him in the IPL auction for ₹45 lakh. That season, he snapped up 13 wickets in 9 games. The following year, he remained with the Lucknow squad and picked up 11 wickets in 10 matches, including a best of 5 for 30 against the Gujarat Titans. In 2025’s IPL auction, the Punjab Kings bought him for ₹1.6 crore. Yash is now a key fast-bowling option for the PBKS as they vie for their first IPL title. Though this season, with the Punjab Kings, he isn’t getting enough chances because there are already some top bowlers in the team.
