Wanindu Hasaranga is just a 27-year-old because he is a 1997-born, and yes, he was born and brought up in Galle, Sri Lanka. Since cricket is a big thing in Sri Lanka as well, it was kinda fortunate that he was born to a cricket-loving family, like his older brother Chaturanga also plays professionally.

Professional Life and IPL Career
Wanindu worked his way through Sri Lanka’s club and A-team matches before making his ODI international debut in 2017. As a leg spinner and lower-order batsman, he balances the side as an all-rounder. During the 2021 T20 World Cup, he became the first Sri Lankan ever to take a hat-trick in this tournament, a moment that is still talked about by many fans. Now he also plays Test cricket, claiming key wickets and building up his reputation on all fronts.
