Virat’s biggest break came in 2006 when he was selected to India’s Under-19 team. Two years later, he helped India to an Under-19 World Cup victory and made his debut in the senior national team. For years, from 2013 until 2021, he captained India across all formats, helping the team with some major wins at home and overseas.
Virat has significantly contributed to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru since its inaugural IPL season in 2008. He took over RCB’s captaincy from 2013 and went on to lead the side for ten seasons straight.
