Personal Life
It is true that Sanju was born and brought up in Kerala, and he is around 30 years old right now. Since he has played a lot of cricket in his youth, no wonder he has that natural talent to middle the ball every single time. Professional Life and IPL Career
Sanju began his career at the professional level in his teen years for Kerala. He impressed in various youth-level games and was also selected to represent the Indian U-19 team. Sanju made his debut for India in a T20 game in 2015, while his first ODI was in 2021. He has scored some important hundreds throughout the years and has gained an aggressive reputation among white-ball cricketers.
Sanju made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals in 2013. After two seasons with the Delhi Daredevils, he returned to Rajasthan in 2018. He has gone beyond 4,000 IPL runs and has multiple centuries to his name in the league. In 2021, he was appointed captain of the Rajasthan Royals. Under him, the Rajasthan Royals reached the finals in 2022 and have since been strong contenders each season. This year, in IPL 2025 as well, he was chosen as the captain of the team for the Rajasthan Royals, but for now, he is not playing in any match for the franchise because of an injury that occurred while playing a match this season.
