Personal Life
Rahul Tewatia actually comes from Sihi, Haryana, and he was born there too, back on 20 May 1993. Just like any passionate cricketer out there, Rahul Tewatia also started getting way too interested in cricket when he was young. And look at him, how he is quite literally one of the most important all-rounders in the IPL.
The good thing is that he recently got married to Ridhi Pannu in 2021, and he also has a cute daughter from this marriage, who was born in 2023. Other than that, his life is really simple off the field, like he just keeps it chill and calm.
Professional Life and IPL Career
Before Rahul Tewatia made his debut in IPL back in 2014 as a bowling option for the Rajasthan Royals, he already had a good track record in the Ranji Trophy playing for Haryana’s side. Though he is one of the few players we have literally seen transformed into an actual hard-hitting all-rounder. Like, you’d certainly remember the match from IPL 2020 where the Rajasthan Royals were chasing a huge target of 223/2 set by the Punjab Kings. And during the chase, when the team was stuck in the middle overs, it was Rahul Tewatia who brought the win to the Rajasthan Royals by hitting 5 sixes in an over.
And back when Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022, Rahul Tewatia was actually a super important part of that team and had already contributed big time. And from there on, he was retained season after season. So no doubt, in IPL 2025, he is once again part of the Gujarat Titans team, and in 8 matches, he already has a 200+ strike rate playing in the lower batting order. Though so far, we haven’t seen him bowl in IPL 2025, but that may be because now his role has completely shifted to a batting all-rounder.
