So, if you don’t know a whole lot about Fazalhaq Farooqi yet, well then let’s just get to know him a little better here.

Professional Life And IPL Career
Farooqi entered the public eye when he appeared for the Afghanistan under-19 cricket team, and ever since, we have all seen him do super well for his team on the international stage. He made his T20 international debut against Zimbabwe on 20 March 2021 and then, on 25 January 2022, made his ODI debut against the Netherlands. He then rapidly gained recognition because, being a left-arm fast bowler, he could swing the ball.
In franchise cricket, he was contracted in the capacity of a net-bowler for Punjab Kings in IPL 2020 and for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. He was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad during the IPL 2022 Auction, in which he played seven matches over two seasons, taking six wickets. Rajasthan Royals grabbed him for ₹2 crore at the 2025 IPL mega auction. Right now, in the Rajasthan Royals team, he sure is one of the most important players since he is in good form and has already shown how good he is at taking important wickets.
