Professional Life and IPL Career
A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler, Omarzai began his domestic career in 2017, playing in Afghanistan’s Ghazi Amanullah Khan one-day tournament. He got his first-class debut in 2018 and rapidly earned a reputation for his hard-hitting and useful seam bowling. His strong performances brought him a spot in the national side of Afghanistan, and he made his One Day International debut against Ireland in January of 2021. Omarzai has since helped his country by scoring valuable runs and taking wickets, no two ways about that, and we have already seen that in the Champions Trophy 2025.
In the Indian Premier League auction in the late 2023 season, Omarzai was auctioned off and bought by the Gujarat Titans for ₹50 lakh.
