Professional Life and IPL Career
Sandeep had his professional kickstart in 2011 playing for Punjab in India’s domestic circuit. Having figured in India’s Under-19 World Cup squads in 2010 and 2012, he developed an early taste of being in the spotlight. In 2013, the Punjab Kings retained him for his maiden IPL stint. He swung the new ball and bowled precise yorkers that year to win acclaim as one of the year’s best new-ball bowlers.
Sandeep continued to shine, playing crucial roles in powerplays, after moving to Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018, remaining there till 2021. Subsequently, he took a short stint back with Punjab Kings in 2022 and was bought by Rajasthan Royals in 2023. Now with the Royals, he is back in full form, he takes wickets early in the innings and sees his team through to the nail-biting wins.
