Romario started professional cricket in 2016 in Guyana in domestic competitions and created a big name for himself as a fast-medium bowler. He made his debut in the West Indies team in late 2019 and has since been a permanent member of their white-ball squads. His first appearance in the Indian Premier League was in 2022 with Sunrisers Hyderabad. He then played in 2023 for Lucknow Super Giants followed by Mumbai Indians in 2024, before being bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the auction before the 2025 season.
