Professional Life and IPL Career
Mohit has begun his professional career playing for the Services team in the domestic circuit of India. He made his First-class debut in the 2022-23 Ranji trophy, where he made headlines by scoring a fifty and taking some important wickets. He also played in India’s Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament using leg-spin and lower-order batting to help his team. In the IPL 2023 mini auction, Punjab Kings bought him for ₹20 lakh. He also made a debut with Shikhar Dhawan, sharing an opening wicket partnership of 55 runs, which turned out to be a record for the 10th wicket. Before IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru picked him in the mega auction. He is famous for his “mystery” leg spin and can score quick runs below the order.
