Since then, Ngidi bagged more than 50 wickets in Tests, over 100 in ODIs, and more than 60 in T20Is, thereby establishing himself amongst South Africa’s current best fast bowlers.

The Chennai Super Kings are the franchise that bought him first in 2018 for the Indian Premier League. He remained with CSK till the end of the 2021 season, where his pace bowling was instrumental in many key wins for the team.
