Professional Life and IPL Career
Bhuvneshwar made it to the big league through trials with Uttar Pradesh in India’s domestic cricket. His speciality was swinging the ball both ways, with tight lines, which were very difficult to play, and that is why he ended up making it to the top levels in no time at all. Like, in 2012, he got his first international cap in One Day International and Twenty20 games, while his debut Test cap came in 2013. And we all remember his debut in ODI against Pakistan where he took the wicket in his very first ball, and that was when we realised that we have a star bowler for India. In the Indian Premier League, Bhuvi first turned out for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009 and 2010. With Sunrisers, he won the Purple Cap for being the top wicket-taker in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
