Professional Life and IPL Career
Jitesh made his entry into the professional world by playing for Vidarbha in India’s domestic circuit. He made his first-class debut in 2014 and was known then himself as a solid batsman with quick hands as a wicketkeeper. Though not a lot of people know this, but he also played a T20 match for India at the Asian Games. In the IPL, he was picked up by the Mumbai Indians in 2021, and in 2022, he made his IPL debut while playing for Punjab Kings.
By the year 2025, it was the Royal Challengers Bengaluru who signed him to strengthen their middle-order. Jitesh often comes in at the end of the innings as a batsman to score quick runs at RCB and has gone on to become their backup wicketkeeper too. His calm approach and big-hitting techniques have been proven to be a winning combination for his teams, taking them to victory in tight games, and we have already seen that in IPL 2025.
