Personal Life
Most people know this, but Khaleel was actually born and brought up back in Tonk, Rajasthan, and he actually comes from a typical middle-class family. And just like any middle-class parents, his parents also wanted him to study hard and become a doctor, but he rather had some different dreams; he always wanted to become a fast-paced bowler. Look at him now, that’s precisely what he became finally. Despite making his debut in IPL and for India back in 2018, we don’t know much about his personal life, but he sure seems like a chill person who stays connected with his fans through his social media handles, mainly through Instagram.
Professional Life
Those who’re seeing him bowl for the first time may not know that Khaleel actually was part of India’s Under‑19 squad back in the 2016 World Cup. And then, the very next year, he started playing for Rajasthan in the T20 format in the Inter-State Twenty‑20 Tournament. From there on, he has been playing the List A matches and First Class cricket, and through his kinda incredible performance, he finally made his India debut in 2018, in ODI and T20 format.
His IPL Story
Well, back in IPL 2018, he was actually part of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team because they bought him for INR 3 crores, but that season went kinda cold for him because he got a chance to play in just 1 match, and that’s all. Though the very next year, he prepared super well, and playing in 9 matches in total, he took 19 wickets, the most he has ever taken in one season of IPL so far. And in IPL 2025, he seems to be doing pretty great actually, like, he is the leading wicket-taking bowler for CSK at the moment, and it is just his first time playing for them.
